Description
CSC IT Center for Science is hosting a hackathon on Catalog Zones for DNS. The purpose of this hackathon is to learn how to use CATZ aka Catalog Zones to distribute zone configuration from the primary DNS server to secondary DNS servers using DNS itself.
Participants are expected to:
- have a DNS server with some zones
- understand the basics of how to configure that server
- be able to access and configure that server from the CSC lab
Aleksi Suhonen will help participants adapt their existing automation to generating a CATZ during the hackathon.
NB: The receptionist may require all attendees to sign an NDA with the host (CSC) about not sharing CSC's trade secrets. Luckily we will not be discussing any such secrets during the day.
PS: This hackathon is in Espoo (Keilaniemi). We're planning to run the same hackathon again later in Tampere.
